Alumni Champions

For Alumni seeking to be even more engaged with the Foundation in an official capacity, we are excited to offer a brand-new and exclusive FNF Champion opportunity!

We know that many of our Alumni already proudly wave the FNF flag for us, which is why we want to be able to officially recognise all the hard work you put in to raise the Foundation’s visibility with this prestigious role and title. We are looking to recruit 10 champions for each region in England and 10 in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. We aim to ensure that nurses and midwives from across the UK know about and have access to our development opportunities.

As an FNF Champion, you will represent the Florence Nightingale Foundation in your region by:

  • Advertising FNF’s scholarships and leadership programmes when they are launched and supporting people to apply
  • Identifying regional nursing and midwifery development themes that FNF could help to improve by focusing our work on
  • Share your leadership journey by offering an FNF case study
  • Organising fundraising activities or events in your area
  • Helping us to secure regional scholarship funding or develop programmes
  • Attending champions meeting twice a year virtually and at our office in London
  • Convening FNF Alumni communities of practice and networking events
  • Helping us to demonstrate the longer-term impact of FNF scholarship and programmes

Whilst being a FNF Champion will be a voluntary role, we are excited to offer the following benefits to our champions.

  • Free tickets to our annual Florence Nightingale Commemoration Service at Westminster Abbey, London
  • A FNF Champion title with a badge, email signature and letter stamp
  • Exclusive Champions welcome and celebration events
  • A letter from our CEO to your Chief Nurses asking for allocated volunteering time for Champions
