We’re excited to announce that we are looking at organising a special Florence’s Footsteps event at Lea Hurst, Florence Nightingale’s childhood home in Derbyshire and we would love for you to join us. We’re asking for expressions of interest at this stage to judge if this is an event that would appeal to our wonderful friends and supporters.
This is a sponsored walk from Whatstandwell Station in Derbyshire to Lea Hurst, Florence Nightingale’s childhood home (a distance of 1.5 miles). We hope to recruit nurses, midwives and supporters to take part in the walk with each participant raising a minimum of £200. This is the walk Florence completed when returning home from the Crimea via London.
There will be a reception for all participants on arrival at Lea Hurst with food and live music, and a chance for us to thank you for supporting us in such a special way!
