The Florence Nightingale Foundation (FNF) and Health Education England East of England (HEE) have teamed up to provide a selection of bespoke training programmes for nurses and midwives working across the region who are looking to develop their leadership skills.
Three exciting development opportunities have been created to cater to nurses and midwives from a variety of backgrounds and career stages.
- The Early Career Leadership Programme for nurses and midwives who have been qualified for less than two years.
- The Aspiring Director Leadership Programme for nurses and midwives who are an equivalent of a Band 8a or above.
- The BAME Leadership Programme for nurses and midwives from ethnic minority backgrounds and equivalent of a Band 5/6.
The programmes will enable participants to define and develop their unique approach to leadership and prepare them to successfully lead change and influence within their role. Participants will be taught how to lead with a greater presence, recognise their personal approach to leadership, foster a deeper understanding of their impact on others, and explore how to tackle real workplace issues.

The Early Career Leadership Programme is open for applications now until September 14. The Aspiring Director course is accepting applications from August 24, and the BAME Leadership Programme follows a week later opening on August 31.
The programmes will run over a course of six months and will be a blend of both virtual and face to face teaching. Applications should be registered with FNF via the Leadership Programme section of the website.
