We are delighted to announce that FNF scholars and alumni have been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.
Alumna Jacqueline Bird, Regional Director of nursing for NHS England in the North-West, has received an MBE for services to Nursing and the COVID-19 response. Jackie worked tirelessly during the pandemic, developing a programme to staff the Nightingale Hospital in the region. Jackie has also helped to raise awareness of issues and concerns impacting nurses from ethnic minority backgrounds.
FNF Alumna, Lizzie Bessell has received an MBE for services to Nursing and Mental Health services. Lizzie who is Senior Sister at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, was the first ever Michael Clift Scholar of the Foundation.
FNF alumna and Chief Nurse at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals Trust, Arlene Wellman, has received an MBE for services to Nursing during COVID-19. Arlene has been key to helping the Trust during the pandemic, while also leading on key improvements at the Trust in recent years.
We are immensely proud of FNF alumni who have received an honour this year and we would like to congratulate them for such wonderful recognition of their work.
